Plan ahead
When outdoors, combine shade and protective clothing with a broad-spectrum, water-resistant sunscreen rated SPF 30 or higher. Apply it to exposed skin according to the label.
Keep protection with you
Reapply sunscreen at least every two hours outdoors, and after swimming or sweating, following its directions. A hat and sunglasses can make protection easier to maintain.
Understand the forecast
UV forecasts describe expected ultraviolet intensity; temperature alone does not tell you how much protection you need. The website's weather panel provides context, not a personal assessment of your skin.
General education, not a diagnosis or a personal treatment plan. Follow the guidance for your own appointment. Contact a qualified clinician for a rash, significant irritation or a medical concern.
